Editing
I’ve read lots of advice about editing, bought books on the subjecct and paid for courses on the topic but being a generous soul, I’m offering a free tip that I found quite by accident.
It’s so simple. I share my current manuscript to Kindle, then read it on my tablet in large print, making changes to the manuscript on my laptop as necessary. Reading it on Kindle makes it seem like a real book, which is encouraging and it saves all the tedious scrolling, zooming in and out on the laptop screen.
Other ebook readers are available if you are squeamish about using Amazon.
Excellent tip. I often find that simply putting the words into a different font on a differently laid out document helps you find the errors, typos and other nonsense.
